As an undergraduate member of Sigma Tau Gamma, you earn your first six points by completing the initial eight weeks of the Path of Principles program. For each semester thereafter until graduation, you have the opportunity to earn one point in each Principle category each semester toward the next level.
Value:
Earn one point for each semester of collegiate membership.
Learning:
Earn one point for each semester with a 2.75 GPA or better.
Leadership:
Earn one point for each semester serving in an elected chapter or campus office.
Excellence:
Earn one point for participating in a Fraternity or interfraternal conference (not campus-based).
Benefit:
Earn one point for each semester you complete 10 hours of charitable service.
Integrity:
Earn one point for each semester that your dues and fees are paid in full on time.
If your school operates on a quarter system, please follow the instructions on the advancement form to calculate your level of advancement in the Path of Principles program.
After graduation, you have the opportunity to earn one point in each Principle category each year toward the next level.
Value:
Earn one point as a dues paying member of an alumni association or chapter.
Learning:
Earn one point by serving as an advisor for an undergraduate chapter.
Leadership:
Earn one point by serving as an alumni association or chapter officer.
Excellence:
Earn one point by attending a national Fraternity or interfraternal conference.
Benefit:
Earn one point by serving as a national officer (District Director, Regional Vice President, Foundation Trustee, Fraternity Board, Headquarters Staff or equivalent.)
Integrity:
Earn one point as an annual donor to the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation.
If you joined Sigma Tau Gamma before the inception of the Path of Principles program, you calculate your level of advancement by taking six points for the semester you were initiated.
